Executive Leadership Team
Steven Boland
Chief Executive Officer
Steve brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience across the waste, recycling, and manufacturing sectors in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
He joined Acrow in 2013 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since then. Prior to this, Steve was Global Executive Director (Recycling) at Visy Industries from 2004 to 2010, and Executive Director (Commercial Waste) at Veolia Environment UK from 2002 to 2004 and NSW/QLD Regional GM for Veolia from 1990 to 2002.
Andrew Crowther
\Andrew joined Acrow in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him extensive experience in senior finance roles.
He has held distinguished positions at financial service companies such as Colonial First State, BT Financial Group, SFG Limited, and Thorn Group. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
His extensive financial expertise ensures Acrow’s financial health and strategic growth.
Matthew Caporella
Chief Operating Officer
Matthew joined Acrow in 2012 and now serves as Chief Operating Officer, drawing on his extensive experience. Previously, he was National Manager – Engineering. Matthew holds dual degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Management from Queensland University of Technology.
He is a Chartered Professional Engineer with the Institute of Engineers Australia and a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland. Matthew’s expertise enhances Acrow’s operational excellence.
Robert Parovel
Head of People and Culture
Robert joined Acrow in November 2021 as Head of People and Culture, with significant experience from senior Human Resources roles at Harsco Corporation, GCC Services, and Webuild Group. With international experience in the Asia Pacific and Middle East, Robert holds an MBA from Charles Sturt University and completed the Global Leadership Program at SDA Bocconi in Milan. Rob is also a recent graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
His expertise in human resources and global perspective greatly contribute to Acrow’s vibrant company culture.
David Dragicevich
General Manager Engineering
With over 15 years’ experience in Temporary Works Engineering, David has delivered complex solutions across major infrastructure and commercial building projects. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), a Master of Engineering Practice (Environmental), and multiple professional accreditations including CPEng, NER, RPEQ, RPEV, NSW Professional Engineer and NSW Design Practitioner.
As General Manager – Engineering, David leads Acrow’s national team of Engineers, Designers and Drafters, driving technical excellence and delivering safe, efficient solutions across Formwork, Scaffold and our specialised systems, including Screens and Jacking Systems/Jumpform.
Jurie Roetger
General Manager Industrial Access
Jurie joined the Acrow Group through the acquisition of Uni-span in October 2019. With over two decades of industry experience, he celebrated his 20th anniversary in 2023, marking a remarkable career journey.
Currently serving as the General Manager of Industrial Access, Jurie’s past roles within the Uni-span Group have included positions as a Scaffold Designer, Project Manager, and North Queensland Manager.
Jurie holds a Diploma in Business Management and a Diploma in Commercial Construction. His extensive experience and diverse skill set make him a pivotal asset to Acrow, ensuring excellence in Industrial Services and contributing to the company’s continued success.
Jason Merjane
General Manager Specialised Services
Jason is a valued member of Acrow, joining through the acquisition of Natform in 2018. He currently serves as the General Manager for Specialised Services, based in NSW.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Western Sydney University and is an active member of The Institution of Engineers Australia.
With his extensive experience and commitment to excellence, Jason plays a pivotal role in the success and ongoing growth of Acrow Screens and Jumpform, ensuring the company remains a leader in its industry.
Michael Miller
General Manager QLD
Michael joined Acrow Sydney in 2019 as a Formwork Sales Representative and quickly progressed to Formwork Manager in 2020. He returned to Queensland in 2021 as Major Projects Manager, bringing over 25 years of civil infrastructure experience. Holding an Advanced Diploma in Building and Construction, Michael has been instrumental in driving growth and excellence across the QLD team.
In October 2024, he was appointed General Manager – QLD, leading the business into its next phase of success.
Paul Barnes
General Manager NSW
Paul joined Acrow on 4th June 2025 as General Manager New South Wales. Paul brings with him a wealth of experience, having successfully run his own business in the UK for the past ten years together with very senior General Management roles in Australia with companies such as Visy and Veolia. He is known for his astute leadership, dynamic approach, and strong commercial acumen. Paul also carried out the role of interim GM for Acrow in NSW 11-years ago.
