Overview
The TMR Coomera Connector (also referred to as the Second M1), is a future state-controlled north-south transport corridor between Loganholme and Nerang, east of the Pacific Motorway (M1) and the heavy train line. This project will feature a 4-lane open graded asphalt road surface and the construction of six new bridge structures, crossing over the Coomera and Nerang rivers.
Scope of Work
The construction of the TMR Coomera Connector, South East Queensland’s largest single road infrastructure project displays cutting-edge engineering and innovation in bridge construction. Acrow were engaged to supply the following solutions:
- Supercuplok to support the headstock of all six new bridge structures, providing structural ingenuity, durability and reliability of this critical infrastructure.
- Powershore 30 towers with Powershore 150 primary beams, providing an advanced approach to vertical support, contributing to the project’s safety.
- The application of Powershore 150 towers in supporting the table structure, demonstrating the project’s holistic approach to efficient and robust construction.
Solution & Benefits
These engineered solutions show how the TMR Coomera Connector is using innovative systems to ensure the project’s success, whilst achieving a significant milestone in the region’s transportation network.
